The various maps you can be deployed on are each a unique challenge in and of themselves. Each functions differently and has its own quirks, so knowing what you are getting into and how to overcome those challenges can give you a serious advantage. Here are some handy tips for Sapienza in Freelancer mode.

10 Getting Into The Mansion

Oftentimes, your target on this map can be inside the mansion or the compound below it. If you start outside, the easiest way in is to go to the top floor of the apartments nearby, and look for someone on the top floor talking to someone down below from the balcony. Pick the lock to his apartment, or after he is done talking, ring the doorbell and bait him outside with an overflowing sink to sneak in and steal his chef's uniform, which will get you in.

With this, you can slip right in, but you can also drop onto the roof on the other side and get into the compound that way. There are a few ways in, but this way is attractive if you want a disguise without needing to pacify a person to get it.

Some objectives might require you to avoid being seen by cameras or to delete the security footage as part of their criteria. Should you need to delete the camera footage for any number of reasons, you can find the data storage in the Town Hall near the top guarded by one person.

This is most easily accessed by climbing the pipe up and sneaking in through the window, which gives you the drop on the guard as well. There is only one guard, so this is a great spot to get this disguise should you need it, as there is a place to hide the body as well. There is also a crowbar on the tablet to help you get through any number of the locked doors in this mission.

There is a pipe you can climb that is up the stairs from the main square where you can skip a huge chunk of the level quickly by climbing up it. From here, you can either quickly get to the apartments from street level or vice versa. It is a powerful link that can be a great escape tool or great for starting off the mission.

This is also a great vantage point to snipe a target that may be in the populated town square, where it can be hard to get up close and personal without being detected.

7 Ice Cream Shop

This is a cafe/apartment hybrid building that can often be difficult to pull hits off in because of how locked and restrictive it can be to move inside while trying to be stealthy. There are lots of people watching, and it's difficult to sneak into the back areas where you might need to go.

Out back, there is a pipe you can climb that lets you bypass a lot of the issues that going in through the front presents. From the back, it is much easier to sneak around the kitchen and upper levels than it is to try and get in through the doors, so if your target is in this area, use the pipe to get the jump on them.

6 Sniper Haven

Sapienza has many tall, accessible buildings and rooftops for easily sniping targets that are in the wide open areas below; they're a much-preferred solution to trying to stab someone in a crowded plaza or the busy streets. Bringing a sniper for this map has a pretty high probability of paying off, but there are underground areas that would be less ideal.

The higher number of targets you have should influence your choice to bring a sniper just in case. It can be the perfect way to take down a target who is in a crowded plaza or any of the wide-open populated areas.

5 Back To The Lab

Under the mansion, there is a lab that you need to be frisked by security to get into that contains an exit and sometimes your target. You will need a disguise that the guards are okay with as well as the required keycard for the door to open. Nearby, there is a scientist drinking wine with a friend.

They will talk for quite a while, but you can quickly separate them by tripping the nearby breaker. There are plenty of spots to hide bodies around here, so take out one or both to be able to get in stealthily. Once you pacify the scientist, he will drop his keycard, and you can take his clothes. You can also simply take out the guards at the door if you don't want them frisking you.

4 Lucky Coin

Throwing objects to create noise and lure people into isolated places is an important tactic for targets that don't isolate themselves naturally. It can also help you pick off guards to get a disguise without drawing and heat. Sapienza has back alleys and streets that are lightly guarded, and the ground is scattered with coins all around to pocket for whatever situation you might need.

Of all the things you can throw to lure people, the coin is the loudest, and among all throwables, it can draw people the farthest distance. It's a good idea to stock up on some coins before you go behind enemy lines in case you need someone to look somewhere else or be somewhere else.

3 Bodyguard With No Bodyguard

Under the pier in the tunnels are two guards in the bathroom who can be hard to take out quietly. If you need a Bodyguard disguise, there is one patrolling just outside who walks back and forth. Simply throw a coin near the dumpster to draw him over, bringing him close to the body dumping spot to minimize body-dragging time. If you do this quickly and cleanly, it's a great way to get a Bodyguard disguise; just watch out for civilians walking by who may see your dark deed.

2 Secret Tunnel

Hitman World Of Assassination: 10 Freelancer Tips & Tricks For Sapienza (9)

Under the pier, there is a wall that is made of loose bricks that are sealing a tunnel up. Using an explosive will destroy the wall and allow you easy access to the underground compound after the heat the explosion causes dies down. Without a disguise, they will attack you on sight and not even attempt to walk you out if they catch you.

This counts for the Bodyguard disguise as well, so if you sneak in this way, be sneaky until you have the right disguise. However, if you are deep underground and things are heated, you can always use this as an escape plan with the pier exit being close by to escape.

1 Best View In The House

From inside the mansion, up the stairs and out the doors onto the balcony, you can wrap around the observatory and climb a pipe to reach the roof, giving you an amazing vantage point of the main town square and the backyard behind the mansion. Further exploration can reveal even more vantage points with only a single guard to deal with.

There is an incredible opportunity on the roof to get amazing vantage points of most of the main outside areas on the map. This spot requires entry to the mansion, but it is well worth the walk with all the opportunity it brings to the table.
