The Link Pass is picked up once, lasts for the semester and can be replaced when lost. The Zone 1A Pass must be picked up monthly towards the end of each month (i.e. February's pass will be picked up at the end of January) and cannot be replaced if lost (students must wait for the following month's pass to arrive).

Most bus and train service starts at 5 AM and ends at 1 AM, with some bus service on busy routes starting as early as 3:30 AM.

To ride the T, you'll need a CharlieCard or CharlieTicket, which can be purchased at most subway station vending machines and select convenience stores. The basic fare for a one-way ride is $2.40, and kids 11 years and younger ride free.

Commuter Rail fares are determined by the Zones you are traveling to and from. A one-way ticket costs between $2.40 – $13.25. Round trip, 10-ride, and monthly passes are also available. Reduced fares are available for eligible riders.

While The Train May Be Cheaper, Be Sure To Account For Time

Therefore, unless you really want to soak in the scenery that the train route provides, you are likely better off traveling by plane to save a significant amount of time on your trip.
